Background of the Study
Remote work policies have become increasingly important in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, with many organizations shifting to remote work as a strategy to maintain operations while ensuring employee safety. In Nigeria, where infrastructure challenges and regional disparities in access to technology exist, the implementation of remote work policies poses unique challenges and opportunities.

Zenith Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, implemented remote work policies during the pandemic and has continued to explore hybrid working arrangements. In Kebbi State, the effectiveness of these policies in maintaining productivity, employee engagement, and customer service is critical to the bank’s continued success. This study will investigate the extent to which remote work policies at Zenith Bank in Kebbi State have been effective in maintaining operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.

The effectiveness of remote work policies has been widely debated, with some studies showing positive outcomes in terms of work-life balance and productivity, while others highlight challenges related to communication, collaboration, and employee isolation. This study aims to contribute to the literature by assessing the effectiveness of Zenith Bank’s remote work policies in Kebbi State and providing insights into the broader implications for Nigerian organizations.
